SCOPE OF SERVICES

Tamarac Public Service Complex was completed as a design/build project for the City of Tamarac. This Hurricane Hardened Public Services Building is a one story, 20,000sf office/warehouse with (131) parking spaces surface parking lot, maintenance yard and hazardous materials building.

  • It includes 12,000sf of administrative offices which includes workstations, conference, and training rooms, plans storage, public restrooms, lunchroom, and city's centralized IT room.

  • 8,000sf of forklift accessible warehouse and shop spaces consisting of a 3,000sf secured warehouse, mechanical shop, electrical shop, manager, and supervisor offices. Men's lockers for up to (80) employees, female locker rooms for up to (10) employees, private showers and restrooms and air conditioned and secured storage.

  • A large, secured maintenance yard with an open but covered (10) bay truck canopies, a secured hazardous materials warehouse building with mechanical ventilation. In addition, a staging platform/loading dock was constructed to permit tractor trailer loading and unloading during emergency conditions such as prior to or after a hurricane.


The entire complex was designed to permit semi-tractor trailer circulation, provide secured vehicular and pedestrian access and the building itself designed to withstand a category 5 hurricane and maintain operations.
