SCOPE OF WORK
A new 8,000sf, (2) story convent with seating Chapel, Administration / Lounge, Administration offices, Library, Kitchen, Dining area, and living quarters for (24) sisters and foundry.
This is the first convent ever designed by Chisholm Architects, it has been entrusted to us by the Servants of the Pierced Hearts, Miami based but with (9) convents in North and South America and Europe.
This new convent for novice nuns who came from all continents requires living quarters, a library, a lounge for recreation, a kitchen, dining, living spaces, administrative offices, a garage, laundry, and a private chapel.
The servants of the Pierced Hearts have (16) convents in the United States and in Rome, Italy. The Foundress and mother general is Madre Adela Galindo, who is also a dame of the order of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The order currently has (62) nuns worldwide and adding an order of priests and brothers.
